Cedar Rapids Day into Night
Cedar Rapids Day into Night
September 22, 2006 - January 7, 2007
Cedar Rapids: Day Into Night
, was conceived as a companion exhibition to
Midwestern Visions
. Earlier in the spring
of 2006, the CRMA announced a call for entries of artworks that address some aspect of life in Cedar Rapids or Linn Country. The result is
Cedar Rapids: Day into Night,
a juried exhibition that includes views of Cedar Rapids, its people and its places by 43 Iowa artists (from Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Burlington and many other Iowa towns). The 43 works in the exhibition were all created in the past five years and represent a variety of media--painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, ceramics, mixed media, and film.
