WOOD SCULPTING & WOOD BLOCK PRINTING FOR BEGINNERS

Join artist Mary Zeran and the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art for a special art workshop for beginners. Inspired by our current exhibition I AM: Prints by Elizabeth Catlett, you will create two works of art from one project! First, using found materials, create a wood sculpture with simple power and hand tools. Then, use the same sculpture to create wood block prints. Frame your wood sculpture right next to the print you've created from it!

MARTINI MADNESS: ENCHANTED

Place: Cedar Rapids Museum of Art
Tickets: $35 individual/$75 patron

It's Martini Madness time! Each year the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art brings together more than 300 party-goers to enjoy an evening of music, mingling, and fun for all. This year's Enchanted theme will inspire drinks like, "Snow White's Poison Apple-tini" and the "Hansel and Re-Gretel-tini."

A change of venue will bring Martini Madness home to the Museum of Art, where attendees will enjoy a variety of music, hors d' oeuvres, and of course your favorite martinis on the house. There will be a silent auction and a chance to win great prizes while supporting the CRMA.

Individual tickets are $35 each. Want to try your hand with a martini shaker? Purchase a Patron ticket for $75 and the fun starts a half hour earlier with a special drink and Martini-Master Mixing lessons!
