Family Fun Day-Grant Wood's 125th Birthday

You're HOW OLD?!

Grant Wood's 125th birthday is this year, and we're celebrating in the best way we could think to honor an artist-by making art! The new exhibition, Barns, Farms and America's Heartland celebrates the work of Grant Wood and his good friend Marvin Cone, and Family Fun Day happens to fall on Grant's actual birth date-February 13th. How cool is that?! That means that families can not only enjoy free access to the galleries to see his (and other artists') works. There will also be make and take art projects that all ages will enjoy. It wouldn't be a birthday party without games: embark on a treasure hunt all around the building, and Pin -the Broach on Grant's Mom while you're wearing a blindfold to name a few. And there will even be cake-though its for painting, not for eating! Join us for a fun, not too messy, birthday bash for Grant Wood! Come be part of the party!

Family Fun Day is sponsored by the University of Iowa Community Credit Union
