No More Books! Altered Book Art for Kids

Saturday, June 10, 1-3pm No More Books! Altered Book Art for Kids

Celebrate the end of the school year by destroying some books. No, really! We’re going to repurpose some old books, turning them into craft projects inspired by the exhibition Page-Turner: Books and Reading in Art. Check out how artists have upcycled book pages and covers as we look through the galleries, and then get out the art materials to create something of your own to take home. It's free, but preregistration is required. Kids ages 5 & up, along with their adult chaperones, are welcome! Contact the CRMA’s Education Director Erin Thomas at 319-366-7503 or ethomas@crma.org to register. Sponsored by the Hiawatha Public Library & the Marion Public Library. What a fun way to kick off the Summer Reading Program
