Watercolors 101 Workshop

Saturday, August 5, 1-3pm Watercolors 101 Workshop (adults)

Are you an adult interested in learning how to paint with watercolors? Join local artist Sara Rieger for a workshop on the basics. Explore the watercolorist’s toolbox and painting techniques including opacity, color, blending, and brushwork. Using a method of drawing called blind contour you’ll create a still life or self-portrait for practicing and growing your watercolor painting skills. If you're a beginner, or looking to brush up on your watercolor skills, or a watercolor painter who just wants to paint in the company of other creative people, this fun, no-pressure workshop is perfect for you. Preregistration is required. Contact Education Director Erin Thomas at or 319-366-7503. For ages 17 & up; $10.
