Learn About Blackrose 3-D Art at the CRMA on Saturday!
Cedar Rapids, Iowa—The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA) is excited to present Linda Goodall as the next local artist in the Creative Connections series on Saturday, February 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
You won’t want to miss out on this event! It is FREE and open to the public. For more information, please call 319.366.7503 or visit www.crma.org. Linda Kay Goodall first learned 3-D Picture Art almost ten years ago when she went to visit one of her sisters in Chicago who also loves the art. Linda’s first pictures were done for people who had lost a loved one. She would do these pictures at no charge. Linda says just to see their face light up when a picture was unveiled was payment enough. It’s like bringing the pictures to life, she says. Watch this artist in action as she uses cotton, grass, fabric and so much more to create 3-D works of art!
The CRMA’s series Creative Connections: Artists in Action is a collaborative effort between the CRMA and local artists to reach and teach non-artists about the artistic processes. Come and learn from the pros, see how work is down and what it really takes to make great art. You are sure to discover “hidden treasures” among local artists who are creating truly amazing art. Come see some of their work and hear just how they do it!
