Summer Digital Photography Workshop at the CRMA!
Cedar Rapids, Iowa—Take a few days out of your busy summer schedule to learn a little something about digital photography at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art! Photographer, writer, and educator, Bob Campagna will be hosting a digital photography workshop at the CRMA beginning on Tuesday, July 13. Details about the workshop are below. Tuesday, July 13, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Introduction to visual elements, review of cameras and technical capabilities, brief walk in the neighborhood of the CRMA to photograph with mentorship by Bob as an artist in residence, overview of program goals (i.e., creation of a calendar, poster, individual images matted), including some photo history and reference to other photographers, and photo concepts.
Thursday, July 15, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants bring selected images from previous day, images are reviewed, and then participants will do another brief neighborhood walk. Participants would also be encouraged to photograph in their home neighborhoods, or create images digitally. Participants will be given clear reminder of images to bring for the final day.
Tuesday, July 20, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants will bring their images and edit images to create a min-calendar, a poster, and individually matted images. Bob will provide mats, and bring a mat cutter so that he may custom design a presentation for participants.
Participants must be 11 years of age or older. The enrollment fee is $53 per person. Each participant must provide his/her own digital camera and accessories, as well as process prints for the class. For additional information about the class, please contact Bob Campagna at 319.560.6889 or
