One Night Stand: Guy MacCoy’s Resting (1935) via Zoom Free

Jul 18, 2023, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

ONE NIGHT STAND WITH THE CRMA One work of art.  By one artist.  For one night. One Night Stand with the CRMA is a free series of art talks on Zoom led by CRMA staff, local artists, or art scholars.  By focusing each 20-minute program on one artwork, the audience engages in a conversation about the artist and how the selected work of art relates to their larger body of work.

Join CRMA Executive Director Sean Ulmer as he discusses Guy MacCoy’s painting Resting and its place in his career.  MacCoy was a master of both paintings and prints.  MacCoy’s Resting is featured in the Museum’s current temporary exhibition, Work and Society in the 1930s: American Paintings and Photographs from the Shogren-Meyer Collection.
