Pajama Storytime at the CRMA: What Do You See?, Free
Have you ever looked at the clouds and noticed that sometimes they look like things—a heart, a dinosaur, a person’s face? Looking at abstract artwork can be like that, so tonight we’ll look at some abstract pieces in the galleries and read stories about how you can find hidden feelings or ideas in this style of artwork. We’ll even play a game to make our own abstract art to take home.
This year’s first Pajama Storytime will feature local artist, Akwi Nji and her abstract artwork in the exhibition, “Power and Impact: a survey of 21st-century, black, visual artists in Iowa.” Akwi will join us and be reading the story as well as helping everyone with their artwork!
Pajama Storytimes are free for kids & their adult companions. Wear your PJ’s and bring a stuffed friend to cuddle with as we read stories and make art.
