CRMA One Night Stand via Zoom: Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s Untitled (Memorial Day Weekend)

Join Executive Director Sean Ulmer as he explores a work of art on view in our current exhibition, “Art is the Word: Text in Art.”  The subject of this month’s discussion is Felix Gonzalez-Torres’s Untitled (Memorial Day Weekend), originally conceived in 1989.   Acquired in 2013, this work is part of an open-edition print series that the artist created.  This brief zoom will look more closely at Untitled (Memorial Day Weekend) and discuss where it fits in Gonzalez-Torres’s oeuvre, as well as touch on some of the other ideas and themes he explored.
