MAGIC in the Mail: Postal Art Presentation & Workshop, Free

Learn about mail art and creative correspondence with the Mail Art Group of Iowa City. M.A.G.I.C. was formed  November of 2022 out of a workshop discussing the possibilities of creative correspondence beyond the digital. Mail art, often referred to as correspondence art or postal art, represents a process of exploring, connecting and exchanging with other creative individuals through the postal network. Come hear a discussion of this process's history and participate in a workshop to create your own mailable creation. All ages are welcome for the presentation but the workshop is for ages 10+. 
This program complements the CRMA’s newest exhibition, "Art is the Word: Text in Art" (February 7 – May 17, 2026).
