This Workshop is Good on Paper

May 18, 2024, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Handmade papers can be made from all sorts of natural materials, resulting in unique pieces sporting rich colors, textures, and even fragrances. Learn and create your own unique papers with Cedar Rapids artist Clar Baldus in this special workshop. Clar began making recycled paper from more traditional plant fibers like papyrus and corn husks, but began experimenting with other botanical elements like lavender, marigolds, tomatoes, and onions, and the results are astounding! See—and smell—some of her experiments and learn to do it yourself! Attendees can bring their own dried flowers or natural fiber embellishments. To register for this workshop, email EThomas@crma.org or call 319-366-7503 x203. Space is limited. $15/person, ages 17+
