Please join us on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00 PM for an Artist Talk by Suanne Huffman entitled Discarded Books Transformed into Art. Suanne is a master at creating unique and artistic journals which can be found in our Museum Store.
“The history of altering books began in the 11th century with the scarcity of paper and vellum. Today book alteration has been elevated to an art form and often uses a variety of mixed media. Suanne Huffman, obsessive collector of discarded items, will show samples of her journals and discuss techniques she uses. In turn, she hopes you will join the discussion and share your ideas with her.”
