The Museum Store in the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art is pleased to announce an open call for entries for the 12th annual indoor Artists Market, It’s All About the Art, to be held Sunday, November 23th, 10am to 4pm. This is the perfect opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their original works of art at the beginning of the holiday season! All work must be original or a high-quality reproduction of the artist’s original work. Reproductions must be limited to 20% of the booth space, 80% of exhibited work should be original work.

INFORMATION AND RULES

1. It’s All About the Art is open to exhibitors 18 years of age and older.

 

2. There are 7 10 x 10’ booth spaces and 13 8 x 4’ booth spaces available.

 

2. All works on display must be for sale. There is no commission to the Museum Store and all transactions are the responsibility of the artist.  

 

3. Artists whose work differs from the images submitted will not be able to sell the items unless there is museum approval. The judgment of the museum will be final, and no refunds will be given.

 

4. Artists must be present during the Artists Market. Artists are limited to the booth space they were assigned. Booth spaces are non-transferable. Any artist who has not been accepted into the Artists Market, or has not paid the booth fees by Friday, October 31, 2025 will not be allowed to exhibit.

 

5. If accepted, you agree to allow the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art to use your images and name for promotional purposes.


6. If CRMA staff, members, or volunteers find that an exhibiting artist has caused damage to CRMA’s property, that artist will be held responsible and will be invoiced following the event.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Complete the entry form and application and e-mail to kmachovec@crma.org

2. E-mail three (3) high resolution (300dpi) images representative of the work you intend to sell. Include item name, media, size, and price for each image.

 

3. Provide a brief Artist Statement describing your process, technique, and/or materials. Maximum 150 words.

 

4. Request preferred booth size and note additional set-up needs:

            8’W x 4’D - $80.00

10’W x 10’D - $110.00

There is an additional $15.00 fee to rent a table.

If you will be using a structure for a 10 x 10 booth please include a description.

 

5. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Tuesday, Sept. 23: Application Period Closes

 

Wednesday, October 1: Notification of Acceptance

 

Friday, October 31:  Booth fee due. No refunds.

Saturday, Nov. 22:  Exhibitor set-up 4:00 – 7:00pm.

 

Sunday, Nov. 23:  Exhibitor set-up continues 8:00 – 9:45am. Set up must be complete by 9:45am.  The Artist Market opens at 10:00am and closes at 4:00pm.    

 

Sunday, Nov. 23: Artist Market closes at 4:00pm.  Take down of artwork is from

4:00 – 6:00pm
