Barn Storm: Picturing a Midwestern Icon

November 15, 2025 –November 1, 2026

 

Barns are an iconic symbol of the Midwest.  This exhibition explores how they appear in works by artists in the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art collection.  Though they seem ubiquitous in art of this region, each work reveals its own unique take on the subject, demonstrating a wide variety of approaches.
