Art is often thought of as something to adorn an interior space, but how do we understand works of art that use an interior space as the subject?  Drawn from the permanent collection, this exhibition delves into the unique tension and charged atmosphere visible in works of art depicting interior spaces.  Artists construct intimate settings that can feel at once very familiar and entirely foreign.  Through these works, the viewer can begin to grasp the power of a depicted space.
