Now-January 16, 2022

As a part of the year-long celebration of the 175th anniversary of Iowa’s statehood, the CRMA focuses this exhibition on a look at contemporary landscape painting by five Iowa artists.  All five are from the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area and represent five separate and distinct views of the Iowa landscape.  All are well-established artists who together represent some of the current trends in landscape painting, not only in Iowa but nationally as well.  The five artists are Larry Zirbel (1931-2019), Marcia Wegman (b. 1935), Mike Ryan (b. 1947), Nancy Lindsay (b. 1948), and Al Sabin (b. 1957).  Each of these artists are exhibiting  8 and 12 works which is hung intermingled in this large three-gallery exhibition.
